I’d never heard of the poet before and chose this because I liked the title and bright cover. I like spoken word poetry and I’m a massive fan of Kate Tempest so I was looking forward to reading this collection. I enjoyed every poem. Like many modern poetry collections the theme are universal conveyed in a very personal way. The themes explored here include connections, disconnection, love and identity. The collection is split into sections and each one tackles a slightly different theme / concept. The poems in this collection would be amazing performed on a stage. The poet performs some of her work on YouTube which I need to check out.
