I’m reading Gerald’s Game by Stephen King. This is one of his earlier novels and I’ve read it a few times. I haven’t read it in years so it’s like bumping into an old friend and discovering how much you still have in common. I only have about 80 pages to go.
I’m reading If It Is Your Life by James Kelman. This is another library book. It’s a collection of short stories. I’ve wanted to read more of his work since I read his novel The Busconductor Hines a few weeks ago. I thought I’d try his short stories. I was drawn to the front cover. I’m looking forward to reading this.
I’m almost finished Trouble with Lichen by John Wyndham. I think his novels are great. This is no exception.
This month’s book group read is Westwood by Stella Gibbons. She’s more famous as the author of Cold Comfort Farm. I’ve never heard of Gibbons before so this is new territory for me. I’m about halfway through this. It’s tolerable so far.
